It's been almost a month now and finally Youth and May Day week is finally starting. The opening ceremonies are tonight and it will be a great week full of fun and activities. Only 8 more days till the May Day Rotary parade and I can't wait! Hope to see everyone there:). XXOO.

Hey everyone,
I would just like to mention how lucky I am to have this experience. I never thought that I would be here today, doing what I am and being the official title holder of Miss Teen Fraser Valley-World 2010. I am honoured to be representing where I live and to show that I can make a difference. I want to let everyone know that I don't just do this for a crown and a sash, I do it to be the change. I want to work with kids and with families in need who have children with disabilities. I want to travel to undevelopped countries to help families who are in poverty. I believe that one girl can change a lot and I want to be that girl, I want to change the life of others and know that I am making someone else happy. I would not change a thing if it were to mean that I would not be where I am today, as I feel very privileged to have the life I do and to be able to say that I was crowned Miss Teen Fraser Valley-World 2010 and be known for what I'm tryign to do. I have visited Podgorica, Montenegro a year and a half ago as well as many years before that. To have experienced the way my parents lived, I feel so thankful to have what I have and to be able to have the money to do what I love, to dance. To be able to live under a roof and have the things that other families sadly don't, and this is why I would like to help those families in need because I've experienced living in a country that is nothing like here. I cannot wait to show myself to my community at the May Day Rotary Parade and aswell as be apart of the fun filled activities and events happening during the May Day week! I would also like to mention that no matter what, always have faith and to always have hope. Always be confident in yourself because if you put your mind to something, you can accomplish anything. You can be the change and anyone can make a difference so never give up for what you believe in.

The City of Port Coquitlam has been celebrating May Day since 1923. Our community's modern day celebration includes a whole week of fun-filled activities including outdoor concerts, community showcases, May Pole dancing, amusement rides, the Kids Toonie Fun Run and the May Day Rotary Parade. As I have updated in a recent blog, I will be in the May Day Rotary Parade this year. Not every individual gets to be in this unless they are with a business or on a float for a charity, etc... Almost all of Port Coquitlam attends this event and I was a fortunate and lucky young woman to get the chance to be apart of it, riding on top of a convertible. As I may also be dancing at Leigh Square with my dance studio, Mellado Dance Elite, as we have for a few years. I hope this is an update to everyone explaining in further details what the May Day Rotary Parade is and also that I may be dancing for you to see! Thanks everyone! XXOO.
